Tulips, Anemones, and Ranunculus...in 3 vases.

We had a final arrangement assigned to us in floral design class and I actually liked mine quite a lot and brought it home. We get to purchase arrangements we create (if we like them enough to buy them) so I bought mine and my little sister's arrangement as well. I was super excited that I got to use some Anemones and Ranunculus in my arrangement.

Slightly Underpainting...

I have been working on getting back to painting...even if it's not an every day thing. As I was sending off my little hand painted ring Into the Forest She Goes, I thought how cool it would be to make a small painting of my heroine in the woods.

I thought I would share the work in progress as a short entry for today since I am desperately wanting to blog more. The background is still a bit on the purple side and I will be adding many more warm tones to the forest and finish up the lady in the formal gown.

Hope you like it and I apologize for the horrible surroundings which are way more red than I would like. Disclaimers...haha. :-D

With Winter Comes a Tale...

...and a treasury.

I put together this treasury last night and it made me think of how there are so many amazing treasuries that have been curated with a story, a fairy tale, or classic tale in mind, so I am going to share a few of those with all of you - these are some of my favorites lately.

Time to Wake Up, Sleeping Beauty! by Consentiodesign.

...and last but not least, a more modern story:

She Left Her Shoes in New York by VintageMixes.

These lovely treasuries are all created by my fellow Treasury League teammates and I wish I could post more, for there are so many gorgeous collections made by these talented ladies. Your treasuries are inspiring and you make everything that is beautiful even more captivating!

Vote for...Enraptured!!

My sister Kimberly has submitted her first design to Threadless and it's super gorgeous. Enterees (I think I just made up a new word) have the chance to win $2,500 in cash prizes if their shirt is chosen to be the next print for Threadless. I really would love to see my sister win this one, so please vote and promote her design if you want to go the extra mile.

It's time for a sale! The Early Bird Sale, that is!

The Early Bird Sale is now underway in my Etsy shop!

~ Arabian Nights ~ Dangle Earrings

I wonder how many people shop frantically the month before Christmas...I know that for myself it's much easier to get things done ahead of time. I find it much more enjoyable to shop at a slower pace and usually can take much more time finding a unique gift for the awesome people in my life. Etsy's the perfect place for finding such items.

~ The Key to the Garden ~ Copper Key Necklace

Now's the perfect time to start early and get started on your trek into the world of Christmas shopping - or perhaps you have a friend or loved one who has a birthday coming up...so get your clicking fingers ready and start shoppin'! If you are looking for unique jewelry and some One of a Kind pieces, I hope you can find something you like over in my little corner on Etsy where you will find that my entire shop is 20% off! Yay! This Sale ends on Sunday, October 17th at midnight.

The Dahlia - an Inspiration.

My super awesome floral design teacher knows of my love for making handmade paper and gave me a handful of black dahlias yesterday saying how they would look lovely in my paper. So I brought them home, put them in a vase, and haven't been able to stop from looking at them. I photographed them, even though they weren't the best in the bunch and the photos gave me a lovely idea for a treasury, so here it is.

You can view the actual treasury here. Like a Black Dahlia

I think my love for flowers is only going to grow even more, pun not intended? ;-)
